I’d say it’s a give that anything Dame Judi is in will be good viewing, this film is simply delightful! It tells a true story (nearly) of Queen Victoria’s obsession with an Indian visitor. Dame Judi Dench is wonderful as Victoria and I certainly fell in love with the stunning Abdul. The film has an element of comedy and Eddie Izzard is an inspired inclusion. A must see in the cinema, but make sure you take tissues!
