I had a feeling this was a film I enjoyed so I booked into the last chance Silver Screen, I’ve worked out that I can’t linger for these ones as they start more promptly so I bypassed the hot drink and biscuits that go with this screening. I wasn’t disappointed, a film based on a true story this is one worth seeing, it’s also a film needing tissues, although I do wonder if the tears thing is just me! This is the story of a man destined to be an African King marrying a white woman, it again left me appalled at how black people have been treated and in particular England’s part in what was a terrible situation. I found this to be a highly interesting tale, it was a film that taught me things, including the birth of Botswana as a democracy. It’s a must watch film!
