I went to watch this one with no expectations other than wanting to be entertained for 2 hours.  I’m not a connoisseur of Kong films so wasn’t looking for any context.  I thoroughly enjoyed this film, Tom Hiddleston was hilariously wooden, but in the scheme of the film that didn’t really matter.  I’ve seen people questioning how so many helicopters appeared from a ship holding only 4, but, they hadn’t noticed that this is pure fantasy, I don’t know of many gigantic gorillas in real life!  Good entertainment which kept me engaged, no great acting or story line, but it was fun!

Did I cry?  I’m ashamed to say, very nearly!

Will you cry?  No!

Worth watching at the cinema?  It’s a larger than life fantasy – so on that basis I’d say, go for it!
