I love Comic book films and particularly enjoy the X Men genre, without being an expert/geek. This film, with Wolverine at its centre was far more realistic and gritty than the standard X Men labelled film. That’s a very odd thing to say when people don’t tend to have knives/swords coming out of their hands or to be able to simply expunge a bullet! But, more realistic it was, it involved feelings as well as plenty of action and was larger than life as most comic book films are. I thoroughly enjoyed it! The film has Wolverine on a mission, to say more than that would be a spoiler, there were several surprise appearances and a couple of surprise events too.
Did I cry – very nearly! In a comic book film!
